I love these multi coloured bias tapes.

You can just iron these tapes on for a colourful wallhanging that's simple to make.
It looks a little lop-sided as it's hanging on point. It'll need a couple of  wooden rods to help it
hang straight.

I made this Bucilla kit last year for my grand-children. Well it's back out again this year and now they have some where to keep the little figures. Their mum bought in the sales after Christmas a little wooden advent house.  So they open one little door every day take out a little figure and pop it on the tree.

I have been trying to upload some photographs.  Is it me or are they making it more difficult?

I'll keep trying.

Miniature Quilt

I love Red & White.
I finished this little quilt yesterday It measures 81/4 x 81/2.  I  have so many large quilts on the go It's nice to actually finish something,  albeit small.
The other two........Well I'm not quite sure what they are? I found them while I was looking for red and white fabric. It was something I did a few years ago, I still have a couple more not finished.....Story of my life!!
I just had a thought! I remember making a cathedral window wall hanging........I'll have to fish that out.

More photo's

As you can see the carrot cake is missing. It was delicious!! So was the cheesecake. Naughty but nice!!
This is Hammersmith Bridge in London. In all the years I lived in London, this is the first time I've ever been over it.
It's extremely quite for a Wednesday morning at 8.30am
Back Home in NS. This little chap appeared in the garden. We eventually coaxed him out by shaking food in a bowl. But then noticed his front leg was broken.
We couldn't get more than ten feet of him (these photo's were taken through the kitchen window) We borrowed a trap, and took him to the local vet. Where he was found to have Feline Aid's and had to be euthanized. He was such a sweet little fellow.
This is  Peppa Pig and her brother George, as named by the grand children Our latest arrivals

Beautiful Cakes.

On a recent trip to Britain last month, my daughter and I popped in to her local cake shop.
Don;t you wish you had a local cake shop like this!!
It doesn't just make cakes like these.
 For special occasions.
 They are works of art.
Can you imagine the delight on a child's face when seeing this for the first time.
 I was excited.
This Blue and yellow cake was having a few final touches made to it.
This shop is in Southfields in London.

Wouldn't you just love to take a bite out of this one!!
This would be lovely for a wedding.www.suzellecakes.com

My Mini Quilt

I was watching Jo Morton on The Quilt Show, she was showing you how she made half square triangles without pinning and pressing seams to the darker fabric by snipping the middle on each side. Very clever.
I love all thing small. I am in the process of quilting this. It measures 11x18.

I have been busy!

I was up to date, but then i ran out of printer ink and i can't print off the half square triangles for this months block. But, i have been keeping busy doing other things.

It's slow going.

Maybe because of this! This is Hudson. He joins me at my sewing table every chance he gets,  that's most days

I found this pattern.

I was in the mood for doing something different. I bought this pattern last year it comes with a transfer face, because I'm useless at drawing faces, amongst other things. She's called Flatface. Lol.

It's closing in!!

Just when i thought it was Spring.

I walked down to the bottom of the drive to meet my grand-daughter off the bus.  I can't believe two days could be so different ..... Yesterday was like a Summers day.
There are two borders in the february block. This is the second one.
I didn't take many pic's when i first started, but I'm getting the hang of it now. Strips cut ready for the February border.

My Block of the Month.

I printed off my pattern on the 1st of January. That's as far as i got as i had to wait for my fabric to come in.
I had ordered all the fabrics in time but....... two of the green fabrics for the heart were out of stock.
The pattern is by Sue Garman.............for The Quilt Show.

I should have mentioned.......

I should have mentioned the pattern for the blocks below are from  http;//chitterchatterdesigns.com
Beautiful designs!!  This one is Cherry Tweet.

Dear Jane

I have been working on and off my DJ for a few months now. I did start making the blocks on the machine, but, quickly decided after a few wonky blocks to do them by hand....... It's working out better.

These trees are all over NSW

Don't you just love these trains
