Finished in time for Christmas......

I made this wallhanging quite a while ago. But I could never find the right fabric for the binding. I love the stripe fabric......I cut it on the bias.

A couple more

Here are a couple more. They still have to be sewn down and have lots of embroidery and embellishments added.

Something else I've been working on.

This is a pattern by Nancy Hieronymus Barrett called Gentle as Peach Blossoms. It's a pattern I've had a few years and just got around to making. Called Peach Blossom after the Peach Blossom Festival held in Japan on March 3 each year to honour small girls.
They are dressed in their finest kimono's and attend tea parties in their friends homes.

Another Stray

This is the third stray we have had hanging around our property in the last few months. He's been  gradually getting closer to the house. I still can't get to close, but at least now he doesn't run to far when I go out to feed him. I'm hoping we can trap him and hopefully rehome him. The other two were very friendly once they were caught. Why do people just abandon their pets like that?? Now I managed to get a picture of him I'll put it up at the local post office. You never know! Somebody may want him.

Another

We managed to find this one a very nice home. He's now called "Sir Mittens"

One of many jackets

That my grandmother made. This photo of my mothers best friend's sister wearing one of the many jackets she made. I still have the jacket made for my mother when she arrived in Cranberry portage Manitoba as a war bride.

I still can't decide?

I like it with just one border. But I'll keep looking.
From this one I decided to make the little schoolhouse quilt.
Except I had no civil war fabrics.
So I used what I had!!
Just one more schoolhouse to make.
 Nearly finished.
 Ready to press
Last one finished
Now to decide what colour borders?
 Too much?
 How about stripe?
Or just plain pink?
Another one.

Books

I recently bought some books. All by Kathleen Tracy.
